New S600 PRO vs. old S600 – what’s upgraded?

A bigger battery you’ll notice on every ride

The S600 PRO has a 48 V 25 Ah battery with 1,200 Wh. The original S600 had 17.5 Ah and 840 Wh. That’s about 43% more energy in the same frame.

In real life, this means fewer “will I make it home?” moments. With pedal assist, the PRO is rated for up to 90 km, against 60–70 km for the S600. Real range always depends on your weight, the terrain, the temperature and how much you use the throttle, but the gap between the two bikes stays the same: the PRO simply has more in the tank.

Hydraulic brakes instead of mechanical

A bike this strong needs brakes to match. The S600 PRO uses hydraulic disc brakes front and rear. You need less force on the lever, the braking feels smoother, and the brakes adjust themselves as the pads wear. On a long downhill, or with luggage on the rack, that’s the change you’ll feel most.

The small things that make a difference

• Display: a larger 4.2-inch colour display, easy to read in sunlight.
• Water resistance: IP64 instead of IP54, so rain and splashes are less of a worry.
• Load capacity: the PRO is rated for a much higher maximum load, see the table above.

What stayed the same

Two 1000 W brushless motors with 80 Nm each, 26 × 3.0-inch fat tyres, front and rear suspension, a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain and 25 km/h in EU mode. If you liked how the S600 rides, the PRO will feel familiar from the first metre.

Where can you ride it?

Be clear about this before you buy: with 2000 W, the S600 and S600 PRO are not classed as standard EU e-bikes (pedelecs), which are limited to 250 W and 25 km/h. The rules for public roads differ from country to country; in most of the EU, bikes like these are meant for private land and off-road use. Limiting the speed or switching off the throttle does not change this classification. Please check your local rules before riding on public roads.
