We only support bikes bought at shengmilo.net.

If you bought your bike on Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, CDON, Leboncoin, BigBang or any other website, we can't help with parts, warranty or questions, even if the seller used the Shengmilo name. Please contact your seller, or look for parts on the manufacturer's factory website.

The fastest way to get your part:

1. Find your model name. It is printed on the frame or in your order from the seller (for example MX02S, MX04, MX06, MX20, S600).
2. Look for the part on the manufacturer's factory website.
3. Or ask the seller you bought the bike from. They are responsible for your warranty and parts.

Many standard parts (tires, inner tubes, brake pads, chains, pedals, cassettes) are also sold by normal bike shops. Take the old part with you so they can match it.

Send us a message with:

• your order number
• the part you need
• a photo of the part, and of any label or number on it

We'll check which part fits your bike and send you the price and delivery time. If your bike is still under warranty and the part is faulty, it's free.

Chargers, batteries and accessories that are in stock are in our accessories shop.

Ask for a spare part

Our store sells the current models: S600 PRO, S700 PRO and S900 PRO. For some older models we still have a few parts, such as batteries and chargers. Check our accessories shop first.

If your part isn't listed, please check the manufacturer's factory website.

If you bought the older model from us, contact us with your order number and we'll do our best to help you find the part.

For S600 PRO, S700 PRO and S900 PRO bought from us: yes. Spare batteries are listed in our accessories shop when in stock. If you can't see the right one, send us your order number and we'll tell you when it's available and what it costs.

Make sure the battery matches your bike. Batteries differ in voltage (48 V or 60 V), size and connector, even between models that look similar. A battery for the old S600 (17.5 Ah) is not the same as the S600 PRO battery (25 Ah).

For other or older models: see the manufacturer's factory website.

Always use a charger made for your battery's voltage:

• 48 V battery (S600 PRO, S700 PRO and most older models): charger with 54.6 V output
• 60 V battery (S900 PRO): charger with 67.2 V output

The plug must also match the socket on your battery. If you're not sure, send us a photo of your battery label and charging socket.

Never use a charger with a different voltage. It can damage the battery and is a fire risk.

Chargers in stock are in our accessories shop.

26 × 3.0 inch fat tires and inner tubes are standard sizes. You can buy them in most bike shops and online bike stores. Search for "26 x 3.0 tire" or "26 x 3.0 inner tube" (also written as 75-559).

Getting a lot of punctures? Choose a tire with puncture protection or a thicker casing, and keep the right pressure (written on the side of the tire). Too little pressure is the most common cause of punctures.

The frame number is stamped into the frame, usually under the bottom of the frame near the pedals, or on the rear part of the frame. Clean the area if it's hard to read.

If you bought from us and need it for insurance or the police, contact us with your order number and we'll check our records.

For bikes bought from another seller, please ask that seller. We don't have their records.

Our bikes have 2000 W motors (the S900 PRO has 3000 W). Standard EU e-bikes (pedelecs) are limited to 250 W and 25 km/h. Because of their power, our bikes are not classed as standard e-bikes, and they don't have the type approval needed to register them as a moped or speed pedelec.

Limiting the speed or switching off the throttle does not change this classification.

No. To register a bike as a moped or speed pedelec (for example L1e-B, S-Pedelec, Betriebserlaubnis or a number plate), you need a type-approval document (COC) for that category. Our bikes don't have this, and we can't provide one.

This also means we can't provide documents for vehicle insurance (for example Swedish trafikförsäkring) or for registration in Finland, the Netherlands, France or other countries.

No. A COC for registration is only issued for vehicles with EU type approval (such as mopeds). Our bikes don't have type approval, so there is no COC for registration.

If you bought from us, we can send you the CE Declaration of Conformity. This is a product safety document, not a road approval.

Unfortunately not. Government programmes (for example in Greece or Italy) are usually for standard 250 W e-bikes with an EN 15194 certificate. Our bikes have 2000 W or more, so they don't qualify, and we can't issue the documents these programmes ask for.

Yes. All our bikes have a thumb throttle, so the motor can drive the bike without pedalling. They also have pedal assist with 5 levels.

In some countries, bikes with a throttle are not allowed on public roads. Please check your local rules. Our bikes are intended for private land and off-road use.

Our bikes are delivered set to 45 km/h or 25 km/h (EU mode).

You can lower the maximum speed, switch off the throttle and change the number of assist levels in the display settings. See How do I lock my bike to 25 km/h? and Display settings menu.

Please note: lower settings do not make the bike a standard e-bike in the legal sense, because the motor power stays the same.

Yes, pay by Credit / Debit cards and save €20. Choose "Credit / Debit cards" at checkout and the €20 is taken off automatically.

Our website prices are already our best prices, and we don't negotiate prices for single bikes. Discount codes from other websites or other regions don't work in our store.

Yes, with Klarna. Klarna is a separate payment company. It pays us for your bike, and you pay Klarna back over time.

How it works:

1. Put the bike in your cart and go to checkout.
2. Choose Klarna as the payment method.
3. Enter your email and phone number. If you don't have a Klarna account yet, it's created in this step. You don't need to sign up first.
4. Klarna shows you the plans available in your country, for example paying in instalments or monthly financing, and does a quick check.
5. Once approved, your order is paid and we ship your bike. You manage your payments in the free Klarna app.

Good to know:

• You must be 18 or older.
• Klarna decides who is approved, how many payments and for how long. We can't approve, extend or change a Klarna plan, and we can't see why Klarna declined you. For questions, please contact Klarna directly.
• Klarna is not available in every country. At the moment it's not offered in Slovenia, Croatia, Lithuania and Estonia.
• Declined by Klarna? You can still pay by card or bank transfer.

Paying by card saves you €20. With bank transfer, we ship as soon as your payment arrives, usually within 1–2 working days.

This happens often with larger amounts like a bike. If a payment fails, no money is taken. If your bank shows a temporary hold, it is released automatically. Try these steps:

1. Have your banking app open. Most banks ask you to confirm large online payments in the app. If you don't confirm within a few minutes, the payment fails.
2. Raise your card limit. Many cards have a daily or online limit below the price of a bike. You can usually change it in your banking app, or ask your bank.
3. Try another card, for example a credit card instead of a debit card.
4. Klarna declined? Only Klarna can change that decision. We can't see the reason.
5. Still not working? Pay by bank transfer. It always works. We ship as soon as your payment arrives.

The carrier decides the exact delivery day, so we can't promise a specific date.

No. We don't have a shop for pickup, and bikes are too big for most pickup points. We deliver to your address only.

The bike comes in one large box. Accessories or gifts may arrive separately, each with its own tracking.

An error code means the bike found a problem with a connection or a part. The codes depend on your display. See the exact list here:

Try these steps first, they fix most errors:

1. Turn the bike off, wait 30 seconds and turn it on again.
2. Check the brake levers. If a brake lever is slightly pulled or stuck, the motor stops and some displays show an error. Make sure both levers spring back fully.
3. Check the cables and plugs between the handlebar, the frame and the motors. Turn the bike off first, unplug, look for bent pins or water, and plug them in firmly again.
4. Charge the battery fully and make sure it is locked in place.
5. Check the wheels turn freely. A rubbing brake disc or a loose motor cable can cause errors.

1. Charge the battery fully. The charger light should change colour when it's full.
2. Check the battery is locked in and the key is turned to ON. Some batteries also have their own power button.
3. Check the battery contacts for dirt, water or damage.
4. Hold the display power button for 3–5 seconds.
5. Check the plug between the display and the frame.

Pedal assist not working:

• Check the assist level on the display is not set to 0.
• The pedal sensor sits next to the pedals, with a small magnet ring. Check it isn't damaged, dirty or moved away from the sensor, and that its cable is plugged in.

Throttle not working:

• Check the throttle cable plug on the handlebar.
• Check both brake levers spring back fully. A pulled brake lever switches off the motor.

Yes, on the S600 PRO and S700 PRO you can choose which motor drives the bike. Press and hold the + button for 3 seconds to switch the drive mode:

• P1 – front motor only
• P2 – rear motor only
• P3 – both motors (dual drive)

The display shows DUAL, SINGLE b (rear) or SINGLE F (front). If the bike is set to one motor, only one wheel pulls. That is normal.

If you have selected dual drive and the front motor still does not work, turn the bike off and check the motor cable plug near the front wheel. Still not working? contact us with a short video.

The S900 PRO has one 3000 W rear motor, so there is nothing to switch.

Range depends on many things. Check these first:

• Cold weather reduces battery range by up to 30%. This is normal and comes back when it's warmer.
• Tire pressure: soft tires use much more energy.
• Throttle use and high assist levels use the most energy.
• Battery age: all lithium batteries slowly lose capacity over the years.

If the battery gets very hot, smells of burning or swells, stop using and charging it immediately and contact us.

New bikes often need small adjustments after the first rides, as parts settle:

• Chain rubbing: the rear derailleur needs adjusting. Any bike shop can do this in a few minutes.
• Squeaking brakes: clean the discs with alcohol, and check the brake calipers are centred.
• Clicking or creaking: check the pedals, handlebar, seat post and wheel axles are tight.

We recommend a quick check at a local bike shop after the first 100–200 km.

• Check the plug of the light and the cable along the frame.
• Make sure the lights are switched on in the display (often by holding the + button).
• Check the bike has power and the battery is charged.

If it still doesn't work and you bought from us, contact us with your order number.

We don't have our own workshops. Most repairs can be done by any local bike shop or e-bike workshop. The bikes use standard bike parts for brakes, gears, tires and chains.

If you bought from us and the problem is covered by warranty, contact us first. We'll find out what's wrong from your photos and videos, and send you the parts you need.

The bike arrives 85–95% assembled. You only need to fit a few parts, such as the handlebar, pedals and front wheel. Instructions are included, and it takes about 30–60 minutes.

We don't offer an assembly service, but any bike shop can do it for a small fee. Please check the brakes and tighten all bolts before your first ride.

Contact us within 7 days of delivery with:

• your order number
• photos of the box and the damage
• a short video if something doesn't work

We'll send replacement parts, repair it or exchange the bike.

Report damage

2 years on the frame and 1 year on the motor, battery and electronics. This covers manufacturing defects with normal use.

Not covered: normal wear (tires, brake pads, chain), accidents, crashes, wrong charging, and changes or repairs not approved by us.

This does not affect your legal rights under EU consumer law. Read the full warranty policy.

4. If the repair is not something you can do yourself, tell us and we'll agree the next step with you.

Warranty is only possible for bikes bought from our store. For bikes from other sellers, please contact that seller.

You can return your bike within 30 days of delivery.

1. Contact us with your order number and tell us you want to return it.
2. Choose how you want to send it back (see the costs below).
3. Pack the bike complete, in its original box if possible.

We refund you within 14 days, once the bike is back with us. Read the full returns policy.

Delivery to you is free. If you return the bike, you pay the return shipping. You can choose:

• We collect it from your door. We arrange the pickup and deduct €200 for return shipping from your refund.
• You send it yourself. You arrange and pay the shipping to our warehouse. Nothing is deducted.

If the bike is faulty or we sent the wrong item, we pay the return. If the bike has been used more than needed to check it, we may deduct the loss in value.

Damage from accidents and crashes is not covered by the warranty. If you bought your bike from us, we can still sell you the parts you need. Contact us with your order number, photos and the list of damaged parts.

If another person caused the accident, their insurance may pay for the repair. Ask us for a price list of the parts for your claim.

Yes. shengmilo.net is the official Shengmilo EU store, operated by Smilo Group Limited. There are many websites and marketplace sellers using the Shengmilo name. We can only give warranty, parts and support for bikes bought here.

We sell online only. We don't have showrooms, shops or dealers, which keeps our prices low.

Most standard bike accessories fit our bikes, such as lights, mirrors, bags and phone holders. Battery-powered lights are the simplest to add.

Lights that connect to the bike's own battery must be compatible with its voltage. We recommend having them fitted by a bike shop.

• S600 PRO and S700 PRO: Yolin colour display with a 5-button remote on the left handlebar: power, +, –, light and i (information).
• S900 PRO: SW-K58 colour display (4.58 inch) with a 5-button SWK2 keypad: +, on/off, –/walk assist, light and i (info).

The buttons and settings menus are a little different, so always choose the guide for your model.

• Power on/off: press and hold the power button. The display turns itself off after 10 minutes without use.
• Assist level: short press + or – to choose level 0–5. Level 0 = no motor help.
• Information: short press i to switch between total distance (ODO), trip (TRIP), maximum speed (MAX) and average speed (AVG).
• Light: press the light button. The screen gets a little darker when the light is on. That is normal.
• Walk assist (6 km/h): press and hold – while you push the bike, for example uphill. Press and hold – again or pull a brake to stop. Never use it while riding.
• Cruise: while riding on the throttle at the speed you want, press and hold –. Press and hold – again or pull a brake to stop. Use it only on flat, quiet ground.
• Front / rear / both motors: press and hold + for 3 seconds. See Front motor only, rear only or both.

• On/off: press and hold the on/off key. The display turns itself off after 10 minutes at 0 km/h (you can change this in the settings).
• Assist level: press + or – to choose level 0–5. Level 0 = no motor help.
• Info: press i to switch between total distance (ODO), trip (TRIP), riding time (TIME) and more.
• Light: press the light key.
• Walk assist: press and hold – while you push the bike. Release to stop. Never use it while riding.

"Press and hold" means longer than 2 seconds. "Press" means a short click.

How to open the settings:

1. Turn the display on and stand still (speed must show 0).
2. Press and hold + and – together for more than 2 seconds.
3. Short press + or – to choose a setting (01P, 02P …).
4. Short press i to change it. Use + / – to change the value.
5. Short press i to save and go back to the list.
6. Press and hold i to save and leave the menu.

The settings:

• 01P – screen brightness (01 low, 02 normal, 03 high)
• 02P – units: 00 km/h, 01 mph
• 03P – battery voltage. Do not change.
• 04P – auto off time in minutes (00 = never)
• 05P – number of assist levels (for example 0–5 or 1–3)
• 06P – wheel size. Do not change, or the speed reading will be wrong.
• 07P – speed sensor magnets. Do not change.
• 08P – maximum speed (km/h)
• 09P – start mode: 00 start from 0, 01 start only when already moving
• 10P – drive mode: 00 pedal assist only, 01 throttle only, 02 both
• 11P – pedal sensor sensitivity (1–24, higher = more pedal turns before the motor starts)
• 12P – start strength of pedal assist (0 weakest – 5 strongest)
• 13P – pedal sensor magnets. Do not change.
• 14P – controller current limit. Do not raise it. See Can I limit each assist level?
• 15P – low battery warning value. Do not change.
• 16P – reset total distance (ODO)
• 17P – cruise control on/off
• 18P – 6 km/h walk assist on/off

Tip: take a photo of each value before you change anything, so you can always go back.

How to open the settings:

1. Turn the display on and stand still.
2. Press and hold + and – together.
3. Press + or – to change the value. It blinks after a change.
4. Press the on/off key to save and go to the next setting.
5. Press and hold + and – together again to save and leave. After 10 seconds without pressing anything, the display saves and leaves by itself.

The settings:

• P00 – factory reset (not on every display)
• P01 – screen brightness (1 dark – 3 bright)
• P02 – units: 0 km/h, 1 mph
• P03 – battery voltage. Do not change.
• P04 – auto off time in minutes (0 = never)
• P05 – number of assist levels (0–3, 1–3, 0–5, 1–5, 0–9 or 1–9)
• P06 – wheel size. Do not change.
• P07 – motor magnets for the speed reading. Do not change.
• P08 – maximum speed (km/h), works for pedal assist and throttle
• P09 – 0 start from standstill, 1 start only when already moving
• P10 – drive mode: 0 pedal assist only, 1 throttle only, 2 both
• P11 – pedal sensor sensitivity (1–24)
• P12 – start strength of pedal assist (0–5)
• P13 – pedal sensor magnets. Do not change.
• P14 – current limit. Do not raise it.
• P15 – low battery warning value. Do not change.
• P16 – reset total distance: hold + for 5 seconds
• P17 – cruise control (0 off, 1 on)
• P18 – automatic light (0 off, 1 on)
• P19 – light sensor sensitivity
• P20 – start password (4 digits)
• P21 – password for advanced settings

Tip: take a photo of each value before you change anything.

You can set one maximum speed that works in every assist level and on the throttle.

S600 PRO & S700 PRO:

1. Stand still, display on.
2. Hold + and – together for 2 seconds.
3. Press + / – until you see 08P, then press i.
4. Set the value to 25 with + / –.
5. Press i to save, then hold i to leave.

S900 PRO:

1. Stand still, display on.
2. Hold + and – together to open the settings.
3. Press the on/off key to move to P08.
4. Set 25 with + / –.
5. Hold + and – together to save and leave.

Please note: a 25 km/h setting does not make the bike a standard e-bike in the legal sense, because the motor power stays the same. Our bikes are for private land and off-road use.

Change the drive mode in the display settings:

• S600 PRO & S700 PRO: setting 10P
• S900 PRO: setting P10

Values:

• 0 / 00 – pedal assist only. The throttle does nothing.
• 1 / 01 – throttle only. Pedalling gives no motor help.
• 2 / 02 – both (normal setting).

How to open the settings: S600 PRO & S700 PRO · S900 PRO

Not one by one. The displays do not let you set a separate speed or power for each level. But you can make the bike calmer in other ways:

• One maximum speed for all levels: setting 08P / P08. See Lock to 25 km/h.
• Fewer levels: setting 05P / P05, for example only 1–3 instead of 0–5.
• Softer start: setting 12P / P12 (start strength of pedal assist), lower = gentler.
• Later start: setting 11P / P11 (sensitivity), higher = more pedal turns before the motor starts.

About the current limit (14P / P14): a lower value makes the bike weaker. Never set it higher than the factory value. Too much current can damage the controller or motor, and that is not covered by the warranty.

Write down or photograph the original values before you change anything.

Press and hold + for 3 seconds. Each time you do this, the mode changes:

• P1 – front motor only (display: SINGLE F)
• P2 – rear motor only (display: SINGLE b)
• P3 – both motors (display: DUAL)

Which mode when?

• Rear only: flat, firm ground. Saves battery and feels like a normal e-bike.
• Both: hills, sand, mud, snow, heavy riders. Most grip and power.
• Front only: rarely needed. Be careful on loose ground, the front wheel can slip in corners.

The S900 PRO has one rear motor (3000 W), so it has no motor switch.

Open the display settings and change 02P (S600 PRO & S700 PRO) or P02 (S900 PRO): 0 = km/h, 1 = mph.

On the S900 PRO the speed limit (P08) is always set in km/h, even when the display shows mph.

How to open the settings: S600 PRO & S700 PRO · S900 PRO

Yes. By default the display turns off after 10 minutes without use, to save battery. Change setting 04P (S600 PRO & S700 PRO) or P04 (S900 PRO). The value is in minutes. 0 means it never turns off by itself. Then remember to turn it off yourself.

S600 PRO & S700 PRO:

1. Display on, speed 0.
2. Press and hold the light button and + together for more than 2 seconds. You see dEF.
3. Press + or – to choose dEF-Y (yes).
4. Press i to confirm. The display shows dEF-0, resets and goes back to normal.

S900 PRO: use setting P00 in the settings menu, if your display has it.

After a reset, check the speed limit (08P / P08) and units again. If the speed reading looks wrong after a reset, contact us and tell us your model.

S600 PRO & S700 PRO: the total distance (ODO) is reset with setting 16P (01 = reset). The trip distance does not reset by itself when you turn the bike off.

S900 PRO: open the settings, go to P16 and hold + for 5 seconds.

That is the start mode setting:

• S600 PRO & S700 PRO – 09P: 00 = the motor can start from 0 km/h, 01 = only when the bike is already moving.
• S900 PRO – P09: 0 = start from standstill, 1 = kick-to-start (move first).

Kick-to-start is a little safer, because the bike cannot jump forward if you touch the throttle by accident.

The S900 PRO display can have a 4-digit start password (setting P20) and a password for advanced settings (P21). Only you can set the start password. If you set one and forgot it, contact us with your order number and a photo of the display.

Walk assist moves the bike at about 6 km/h while you walk next to it, for example uphill or out of a garage. Press and hold –. Release (S900 PRO) or press and hold – again / pull a brake (S600 PRO & S700 PRO) to stop. Never use it while sitting on the bike.

Cruise control (S600 PRO & S700 PRO) keeps your throttle speed: ride at the speed you want and press and hold –. Pull a brake to stop it. Use it only on flat, quiet ground.

You can switch these functions on or off: 17P (cruise) and 18P (walk assist) on the S600 PRO & S700 PRO, P17 (cruise) on the S900 PRO.

The code on the screen tells you which part has a problem. The bike will not drive normally until it is fixed.

• E001 / E009 / Error09 – controller problem. Check the cable plugs at the controller.
• E002 / E030 / Error10 / Error11 – communication problem. Turn off, check the display cable plug is clean and pushed in fully.
• E003 / E024 – hall sensor (motor sensor). Check the motor cable plugs near the wheels.
• E004 / E022 / Error08 – throttle. Check the throttle returns fully and its cable plug. If normal, the throttle may need replacing.
• E005 / E025 / Error05 – brake. A brake lever is pulled or stuck. Check both levers spring back. If it stays, the brake lever sensor may need replacing.
• E006 / E023 / Error07 – motor phase (motor cable). Check the thick motor cable and plug for damage.
• Error06 – low battery. Charge the battery.
• E021 – current problem. Turn off, wait 1 minute, try again.

• E00 – everything normal.
• E02 – brake. A brake lever is pulled or stuck. Check both levers spring back fully.
• E03 – pedal sensor. Check the sensor next to the pedals and its cable.
• E04 – walk assist is on (not a fault).
• E05 – cruise is on (not a fault).
• E06 – low voltage protection. Charge the battery.
• E07 – motor. Check the motor cable and plug at the rear wheel.
• E08 – throttle. Check the throttle returns fully and its plug.
• E09 – controller. Check the cable plugs at the controller.
• E10 – communication. Check the display cable plug.
• E12 – battery communication (BMS). Check the battery is locked in and the contacts are clean.
• E13 – front light. Check the light cable.

• You can charge the battery on or off the bike.
• Red light on the charger = charging. Green light = full (or standby before charging).
• Charging takes about 6–10 hours (S900 PRO about 8–10 hours). A new or completely empty battery can take longer.
• Take the charger off within about an hour after the light turns green. Never charge for more than 12 hours, and do not leave it charging unattended.
• After charging, first unplug the charger from the wall, then from the battery.
• Charge indoors, in a cool and dry place, away from sunlight. Do not charge right after a ride in hot weather.
• Only use the original charger or one from us.

Stop charging at once and contact us if the battery or charger gets very hot, smells, smokes or leaks.

• Do not run the battery completely empty. Turn the bike off when the battery is low.
• Charge after every ride. There is no memory effect, so short charges are fine.
• Not riding for a while (for example in winter)? Store the battery fully charged, indoors at room temperature, and charge it once a month.
• Keep it away from heat, open fire and direct sunlight.
• Do not open or modify the battery. That ends the warranty and can be dangerous.

In cold weather the range is lower. That is normal for every lithium battery.

• Hills: pedal along when climbing and starting from standstill. Avoid very steep climbs over long distances, so the motor does not overheat.
• Start gently: avoid sudden starts and stops, accelerate at a moderate pace.
• Rain: light rain is fine. Do not ride through deep water or flooded roads. Never let water reach above the lower edge of the motor hub.
• Gears: avoid the smallest front with smallest rear gear (and largest with largest). It wears the chain.
• Start with a low level until you know the bike.
• Max. load: 180 kg (rider plus luggage).

Use a hand wrench, not an impact driver.

Use 100–240 kPa (1.0–2.4 bar, about 15–35 psi) and always stay within the range printed on the side of the tire.

• Higher pressure: smooth, hard roads. Rolls easier and saves battery.
• Lower pressure: sand, snow, soft ground. More grip and comfort.

Too little pressure is the most common cause of punctures. Check before every ride.

1. Turn the bike off and take the battery out.
2. If possible, fix it without removing the wheel: find the hole, pull that part of the tire off the rim and patch or replace the tube.
3. If the wheel has to come off, see How do I remove a wheel?
4. Check the inside of the tire for thorns, glass or wire before you fit a new tube.
5. Inflate to the right pressure.

Tube size: 26 × 3.0 (S600 PRO, S700 PRO). For the S900 PRO tell us your bike and we will tell you the exact size. Puncture-proof tubes or tire sealant help a lot with fat tires.

Both wheels on the S600 PRO and S700 PRO have a motor, so there is a cable to unplug. If you are not confident, a bike shop can do this.

1. Turn the bike off and take the battery out.
2. Turn the bike upside down on a soft surface (careful with the display).
3. Unplug the motor cable near the axle. Do not pull on the cable itself.
4. Rear wheel: shift to the smallest gear first.
5. Loosen the axle nuts or bolts (the S900 PRO front wheel has a quick release).
6. Take the wheel out carefully. Do not pull the brake lever while the wheel is out.
7. Put it back the same way. Make sure the brake disc sits in the caliper without rubbing, the torque washers are in place and the axle nuts are tight (rear 30–38 Nm).
8. Plug the motor cable back in, then test the bike slowly.

The bikes have hydraulic disc brakes. Check the pads regularly:

• Replace them when the pad material is about 1 mm thick or less, or if the brakes squeal metal on metal.
• Take the wheel out or use the caliper opening, remove the pad pin and slide the old pads out.
• Push the pistons back carefully with a plastic tool, fit new pads and the pin.
• Never pull the brake lever while the pads or the wheel are out.
• New pads need a few gentle stops before they brake at full power.

Brake lever feels soft or goes to the handlebar? Do not ride. The brake may need bleeding, a job for a bike shop. Contact us if you need pads or need help with the right type.

1. Turn the bike off and take the battery out. Never plug or unplug the display while it has power.
2. Follow the cable from the display or throttle to the plug and unplug it. The S900 PRO display uses a 5-pin plug.
3. Loosen the clamp on the handlebar, fit the new part in the same place and plug it in.
4. Tighten clamps gently (S900 PRO display and keypad: about 1 Nm).
5. Put the battery back, turn on and check the settings (speed limit, units).

Only use a display or throttle made for your model. Others may not work with the controller. Contact us with your order number to order the right part.

The brake levers have a small sensor that switches the motor off when you brake. A replacement must be an e-bike lever with the same sensor and plug.

On hydraulic brakes the lever is connected to the brake hose, so changing it usually means bleeding the brake. We recommend a bike shop for this job. Contact us with your model to order the right lever.

• Pedals are marked R (right) and L (left), on the sticker and on the thread.
• Right pedal: tighten clockwise. Left pedal: tighten counterclockwise.
• Put a little grease on the thread and start by hand, so it goes in straight. If it does not turn easily, check you have the right side.
• Tighten with a 15 mm wrench (about 35–40 Nm).

A pedal on the wrong side destroys the thread in the crank.

1. Loosen the stem bolts with a 4 mm hex key.
2. Centre the handlebar and turn it to the angle you like.
3. Tighten the bolts evenly, a little at a time, to 8–10 Nm.
4. Check the handlebar cannot twist before you ride.

• Clean and oil the chain first. A dirty chain often causes skipping.
• Shifts slowly to bigger gears: turn the small barrel adjuster at the shifter or derailleur a quarter turn counterclockwise, test, repeat.
• Shifts slowly to smaller gears: turn it a quarter turn clockwise.
• Still skipping? The derailleur hanger may be bent after a fall. A bike shop can straighten it quickly.

1. Wipe the chain with a dry cloth after riding, especially in rain.
2. Remove sand and dirt with a brush and warm soapy water if needed. Do not use acid or rust remover.
3. Let it dry fully.
4. Put a drop of chain oil on each link and wipe off the extra.

• Use a cloth or soft brush with plain or soapy water. No pressure washer, it pushes water into the motors, bearings and plugs.
• Take the battery out first and keep the battery contacts dry.
• Clean the fork tubes and dust seals carefully and dry them with a lint-free cloth.
• A fork dust cover protects the fork from dirt and stones.

• Brakes: both work well, pads not worn.
• Tires: right pressure, no cuts or bulges.
• Wheels: spokes tight, wheels run straight. Noise from the front wheel can mean loose axle bolts.
• Motors: axle nuts tight, motor cables not damaged.
• Chain: clean and oiled.
• Pedals and cranks: tight.
• Battery: locked, no damage.

Check after the first 50 km and then about once a month.
